Come hear from Gail Lindley, who is the third generation in a five generation business, Denver Bookbinding Company, that was started in 1929. Included will be a short discussion of paper prior to 1840 and after 1840. Samples of paper from the 1500's to the early 1900's will be available. Types of binding and tools will be included. What is a fore edged painted book...curious? Join us to find out!

Ticket prices (purchased online-click the link below!) are $20 online, or $25 at the event. You must buy a $5 admission ticket at the door.

Join us July 15th & 16th for the 38th Annual Summerfest, a family-friendly festival of art, crafts, music, and beer! This weekend of fun is located at the Buchanan Park athletic fields only five minutes from the Evergreen Parkway exit at I-70. Hours are 10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday. Admission to the festival is $5 for adults; children are free. All proceeds benefit Center for the Arts Evergreen, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit arts organization.

Join us for a special lecture by the juror for the 2017 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia exhibition, Stephen Quiller, who will be in town to select the award winners.

Internationally acclaimed painter, author, and teacher, Stephen Quiller, is best known for his work in watermedia. He was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor at the 148th International American Watercolor Society Exhibition in New York City in 2014. His paintings have been on the covers and the subjects of articles of many leading artists magazines. He has authored two best-selling books, Color Choices and Painter's Guide to Color, and his "Quiller Wheel" is used by artists worldwide.

This lecture is free for CAE Members, $5 for non-members.
Art of Wine Event: Ashley's Favorites

Join us for this exclusive wine tasting event hosted by Bob McCarroll, LIV Sotheby's International Realty,and Certified Sommelier, Ashley Hausman Vaughters. This event will feature wines that a world class sommelier picks for dinner with friends. Cheese, meats, crackers, breads or sweets will highlight the wines adaptability and study guides will enhance the learning experience. The evening is made complete with more wine and pizza, good camaraderie and conversation.

Tickets are $50 for CAE Members and $60 for non-members. Seating is limited to 25. Wines will be available for order.

OPENING RECEPTION Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition

In it's 44th year, this exhibition is one of the premier national watermedia exhibitions, to be presented in Evergreen for the first time and juried by Stephen Quiller. This exhibition will take place in our new facility at 1318 County Road 65. This reception will also commemorate the official ribbon-cutting for the new facility, and the opening weekend will coincide with the popular Evergreen Open Door Studios, our partner event.

Join us for a special Saturday night reception to be the first to celebrate this prestigious exhibition in our new facility. There will be an awards ceremony to hand out the cash awards. Exhibition sponsors and donors will also be recognized.

This event is free and open to the public. Wine and refreshments will be served. The exhibition will be on display through October 28.
