Moira Casey, Director of Exhibitions and Marketing
In 2009, Moira was asked to oversee the selection of $100,000 worth of art for a new corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago. It was then that her passion for curating was truly ignited. After 10 years in marketing, communications and sales in the business world, Moira Casey left her position licensing photography as a sales executive for Getty Images in Chicago, and moved to Denver, Colorado. Already armed with a Bachelor of Arts in French and Art & Art History from Kalamazoo College in Michigan, she delved back into the world of arts and culture, completing a Master of Arts in Art History, Museum Studies at the University of Denver. In addition to her current role as Director of Exhibitions and Marketing at the Center for the Arts Evergreen, her experience in the non-profit industry includes volunteer positions, internships, and paid positions at the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Vicki Myhren Gallery, the University of Denver Art Collections, RoxArts Gallery, and the Stanton Gallery at The Town Hall Art Center.

Moira's coursework in Museum Studies at the University of Denver introduced her to the most fascinating current scholarship on exhibition design and visitor experiences. She feels very fortunate to have been able to put these high standards of art presentation and exhibition quality into practice at established local arts organizations. Connecting with artists, supporting them by promoting their work, and supporting the community by bringing them creative and thought-provoking exhibitions and cultural experiences is what makes Moira's heart smile. In the midst of her curating, Moira is a mother of two amazing little girls, Quinlan (2 yrs) and Tierney (1 yr). She has a wonderful husband Matt and a dopey Great Dane named Max, and the constant chaos in their house serves as the perfect counter balance to the calm and collected gallery space where she finds her escape.
Stephanie O'Malley, Director of Education and Festivals
Stephanie O'Malley holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance and a BA in English from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She is an artist at the CMAG gallery and owns a photography business, Stephanie O Photography, specializing in portraits and fine art. Other life experiences include ten years as a Product Manager for a Fortune 500 company, work as a Freelance writer and published author, mother to three mostly awesome adult children and two always spectacular rat terriers. Stephanie loves to travel, read, knit, cook, go to museums, and hike.
Tom Maxey, Manager of Finance and Administration
Patricia Wafer, Program Intern
Patricia has been an arts enthusiast since childhood, beginning college at DU as an Art major. Her focus morphed over the years, after acquiring a degree in Latin American Studies from Tulane and a MA from Johns Hopkins in International Development, she worked several years as Caribbean Program Manager for a non-profit in Washington DC. She returned to Colorado, in 1993 with toddler son who eventually studied music at Denver School of the Arts. She has lived in Evergreen with extended family since then. In 2009, Patricia began working as Director of Knox Galleries off Larimer Square in Denver. When the gallery closed in 2015, she eventually found her way to CAE. Patricia enjoys dancing, photography, writing, and has taken several painting classes at the Denver Arts Students League.
