Whether you’re brand new or looking to expand your skills, this class will guide you through essential techniques while encouraging your own creative voice.\nStudents will learn how to cut and shape glass, explore color and composition, and experiment with layering techniques, stencils, and multiple firings. Each week builds on the last, giving you time to develop ideas, refine your work, and gain confidence working with glass.\nYou’ll also learn how kiln cycles impact your results—from tack fusing to full fusing and slumping—giving you a deeper understanding of the process behind the finished piece.\nBy the end of the course, you’ll have created a collection of finished works that may include wall pieces, slumped bowls, plates, or other functional and decorative forms.\nWhat to Expect\n\nInstruction in glass cutting, layering, and design\nExploration of color theory and composition\nTechniques including stencils, inclusions, and multiple firings\nUnderstanding kiln processes and firing outcomes\nMultiple completed fused glass pieces\n\nAll tools and materials are provided. Please Note: Closed-toe shoes are required for all glass classes.\n
