We’ll explore soft skies, layered hills, and how to place an animal within a landscape to create mood and storytelling. Using simple shapes and guided steps, students will learn how to build a deer and bring their scene to life with color and light. We will also create a clay deer sculpture to go along with the painting.\nStudents will:\n• Learn how to draw and paint a deer using simple forms\n• Explore color and light in a sunset or dusk setting\n• Create depth using layers in the landscape\n• Add personal details and storytelling to their work\nThey will walk away with:\n• One completed deer painting ready to display\n• One small clay deer sculpture\nWhat to bring:\n• Clothes that can get messy\n• Water bottle/snack\n
