August Plein Air Watercolor with Randy Hale
Tuesday, August 25
9 am – 12 pm
Each session will be in the proximity of Evergreen. Meeting locations will be announced well in advance. Painters will be challenged to filter out “visual overload” one sees when outside. Finding an obvious center-of-interest is critical. Learning to edit, condense, or eliminate the unimportant is just as important. We’ll address atmospheric perspective – how to make things fade into the distance, or come forward. Each session starts promptly at 9 am and we’ll paint until noon. Plein air painting is a solo-sport, but the opportunity to share your work and have an interchange of ideas over lunch promotes camaraderie and gets everyone interacting while maintaining necessary social distancing! All are welcome to bring a bag lunch and enjoy the conversation after we paint.
Stay for lunch afterward! (bring your own bag lunch & a camp chair)
Location for class TBD
Each plein air session limited to maximum of 10 painters
Some experience in watercolor is recommended but not required.
This class is designed for novice-to-intermediate painters, but all levels are welcome.
Class size is limited to 10 per CO.gov restrictions
