Instructor: Carol Garnand
Come learn the basics of natural dyeing, and create your own  apron to take home. We’ll be experimenting with basic resist methods to create patterns on our fabric, while having two different colored dye pots, one of which is Indigo. Carol will guide you through the process of understanding natural dyes, their properties and how to make it work. Be prepared for a fun-filled day as you explore the magic of natural dyes.

About the Instructor
“I am a passionate silk artist. For over fifteen years I have been drawing inspiration from our Colorado environment. Starting with white silk fabric, I paint, dye, felt and sew to create one-of-a-kind art. I create silk scarves and change colors and patterns with the different seasons. I paint wall hangings and table coverings of Colorado flora. Recently I’ve expanded to more wearable art garments, some of which have won awards.”

Carol teaches silk painting, Shibori-dyeing, Nuno-Felting and natural dyeing.  Her art is available in many Front Ranges galleries, including Center for the Arts-Evergreen, and at her studio. Visit Her Website Here
