Want to learn to paint with oils? Or are you a beginning oil painter who wants to build on your skills? Then, this is the class for you! Students will learn basic art concepts and painting techniques as we get those brushes moving! This class is open to students who are brand new to oil painting or have previously taken a beginner class or two and are looking to gain more knowledge and skills.

*For those students with little to no experience, we are offering an optional bonus class on Wednesday, March 15th where we’ll discuss supplies, setting up your palette, a quick guide to color mixing, and how to pick a reference and start a painting. During this introductory session, Brenda will guide you through the materials you’ll need for the first day of class on Wednesday, March 29th.  NO CLASS ON MARCH 22ND.

• Painting Medium Liquin Gel
• Palette
• Palette knife
• Canvas or panel to paint on
• Odorless Turpentine or Gamsol and container
• Brushes. Variety of flats, filberts and rounds in small, medium or large
• Sketch pad, pencil, colored pencils optional
• Photos for inspiration
