The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, now in its 49th year, is presented by Center for the Arts Evergreen. RMNW is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country and traditionally offers more than $10,000 in cash awards. The 2022 exhibition is sponsored by LIV Sotheby’s, Farmers Insurance – Bruce Anderson Agency, Colorado Creative Industries, and the SCFD, and is partially supported by a Challenge America grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

This year, acclaimed watercolorist Soon Y. Warren has juried in 62 exceptional works from nearly 500 submissions, representing artists from 23 states. Award-winning pieces will be revealed at the public opening reception on Friday, September 23 from 4-7 pm. Drinks and light fare will be offered, and Juror Soon Y. Warren will be joining the opening virtually to provide critique of her selections as prizes are awarded beginning at 6 pm. The exhibit runs from September 23 through October 29, and private or group curator-led tours are available by calling 303-674-0056.

CAE’s mission is to promote and cultivate artistic excellence and to enrich the art experience in our mountain community. A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, CAE is committed to delivering engaging exhibitions and diverse educational programs for adults and children. In 2017 we moved to a new facility, which includes a modern gallery space housed in a historic old school house that became a church and is now the new home of CAE.
