In January of this year, Center for the Arts Evergreen entered a new era of art in the mountain community by welcoming Sculpture Evergreen to the CAE family. The first weekend in June marks the celebratory culmination of two open artist calls and a collaborative partnership with Loveland’s famed Dream Big Sculpture. From June 1 to July 8, come view Sculpted, our indoor gallery exhibition dedicated to the art of sculpture, with the work of 10 Colorado sculptors filling the gallery. These masters work in metal, stone, bronze, concrete, steel, iron, and wood, and visitors will have the opportunity to experience representational and abstract work – usually reserved for the wide-open spaces – on a gallery-sized scale. This show is the perfect opportunity to add to (or start) your sculpture collection. Join us for the public opening reception on Thursday, June 1 from 4-7 pm with an artist Q&A beginning at 6 pm.

If you can’t make it up the hill until the weekend, after visiting the CAE gallery, move outside to witness the installation of 11 new sculptures on the streets, sidewalks, and parks of Evergreen on Saturday, June 3. Artists from across the country will be in town to install their work, which will enliven Evergreen for the next year alongside our permanent collection of over 40 works of public art already on display. Pick up a map at CAE and enjoy a leisurely self-guided experience on the Evergreen Sculpture Walk.
