ABOUT THE TEEN EXHIBITION
2023 marks the third year for Center for the Arts Evergreen’s annual teen show. We’ve dealt with separation and uncertainty, reuniting and rebuilding, and now, we’re focusing on inspiration. Center for the Arts Evergreen’s (CAE) teen exhibition, Subject Matters, seeks artwork that is influenced by the person, thing, or idea that inspires you the most—a loved one, an adventure in nature, a favorite memory, a vision of the future. This show will serve as a platform for others to celebrate today’s teenagers through their art and inspiration.
Subject Matters: Teen Exhibition welcomes students of ages 13-18, in public, private, or home school to enter one piece of original artwork. There is no entry fee for this competition and there are several cash awards given. This exhibition will be curated by the Center for the Arts Evergreen’s Teen Arts Council with help from CAE staff and CAE’s Curatorial Committee.
Center for the Arts Evergreen is a registered nonprofit located in Evergreen, Colorado. In 2022, the CAE Teen Show hung in the gallery and then started a year-long trek through the Denver Metro area. Highlights included Children’s Hospital of Colorado and the Ralph L. Carr Justice Center in Denver. CAE strives to foster a positive, creative environment in which young and emerging artists realize their full potential as creative individuals. We provide quality art instruction, exhibitions, and events. Our main gallery showcases local and nationally acclaimed artists in both curated and juried exhibitions.
