This painting of patio chairs is from my grandmother's house. The sunlight accents the complex design of the chairs. The intricate design is repeated on the ground in the shadows cast by the chairs. This is a warm and inviting space. It is a place you might wish to share a conversation with someone, and yet the chairs sit empty.
