Laney brings over 10 years of event experience to CAE and she is thrilled to join our vibrant and creative organization. She has been living in Evergreen for the past two years and she is particularly excited to bring her talents and expertise to our local community after many years of working on the road. Laney has honed her event management skills by traveling all over the US, Mexico, Costa Rica, and other destinations in the Caribbean coordinating festivals and events with performing artists such as Pharrell, The Avett Brothers, Brandi Carlile, My Morning Jacket, Sheryl Crow, Wanda Sykes, and many more; as well as working with filmmakers such as Rian Johnson (Star Wars Episode VIII, Knives Out) and Trey Edward Shults (Waves) for the 42nd annual Denver Film Festival. Laney is also highly passionate about working in the non-profit sector and has experience participating in many outreach initiatives that use art to feed the hungry while working with Boulder, CO based non-profit, Conscious Alliance. She has spent ample time collaborating with tribal leaders on both Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, as well as Cheyenne Reservation in Montana to successfully facilitate community projects focused on youth empowerment as well as coordinating large giveaways of donated food, clothing, home items, kid’s toys, and more. Laney has a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL. If you don’t catch her managing events at CAE or sitting in on the occasional art class, you just might see her out in the mountains of Evergreen hiking with her two dogs.
