Check out some of the Raku firings from our recent Check out some of the Raku firings from our recent Raku Critters workshop with CAE Artist-in-Residence M Rathsack! Students spent the first session hand-building their own little ceramic critters, then came back for the REALLY fun part… the firing! 🔥 Raku is a fast, exciting firing process where pottery is heated to incredibly high temperatures and then placed into combustible materials, creating dramatic, one-of-a-kind finishes. You never quite know what you’re going to get, and that’s part of the magic! We love seeing our students roll up their sleeves, try something new, and experience the art of ceramics in such a hands-on way. 👏 A big thank you to @dancing_potter for sharing the magic of Raku with our creative community! Keep a watch out for upcoming Raku classes!
