Volunteer at Summerfest!
Without our wonderful volunteers, our biggest fundraiser of the year would not be possible! This year, we need people to help with parking, the children’s area, welcome, hospitality, Palette of Brews, set-up, clean-up and Saving the Planet! You are welcome to sign up for as many as you’d like! All volunteers will get an official Summerfest t-shirt.
Set Up: Duties include marking off booth spaces, putting up CAE tents and tables, setting up the info and hospitality booths, beer/wine area, kids’ craft area, stage area, and putting up banners and other signage.
Artist Check In: Duties include greeting artists as they arrive to set up their booths, distributing paperwork, answering questions, and perhaps assisting with getting their work to their booth and setting up.
Welcome: Duties include greeting visitors, taking admission, handing out informational materials, volunteer check in, some hospitality duties, and answering questions.
Hospitality: Duties include answering questions and troubleshooting problems for artists, visitors, and other volunteers. Some hospitality volunteers will watch artists’ booths so the artists can get something to eat and take a break and help distribute and pick up vendor evaluations.
Palette of Brews: Duties include serving wine and beer to the public, assisting brewers as otherwise needed, checking tickets. You must be at least 21 years old for this volunteer position and you should be comfortable handling money and making change.
Parking: Duties include directing people to the designated parking areas, monitoring parking, identifying and reporting any issues, and directing people to the festival.
Saving the Planet: It’s important to CAE to minimize our footprint at Summerfest! This critical job assists Evergreen Alliance for Sustainability (EAS+Y) in helping patrons dispose of trash in the food area.
Clean Up: Duties include removing and collecting booth marking items, packing up the kids’ craft area, info and hospitality booths, and stage area, picking up signs and banners, general cleaning and picking up trash at the festival site, and returning all materials to CAE to put in storage.
