CAE SATELLITE GALLERIES

Center for the Arts Evergreen maintains partnerships with Ovation West, the Buchanan Recreation Center, and other local businesses and facilities to organize a rotation of mini art exhibitions at these locations. Artwork on display is almost always available for sale, supporting both local artists and programming at CAE. If you are interested in purchasing a piece you have seen in one of our satellite spaces, please get in touch with Chris Stevens, director of exhibitions, at chris@evergreenarts.org or 303.674.0052.

CENTER STAGE THEATRE

Center Stage is a historic theater that serves the mountain community with a performing arts venue, a visual arts gallery, and as a community gathering place. Center Stage is owned and operated by Ovation West Performing Arts.

Imagine you are in these scenes… Savannah on a ghost tour The Smoky Mountains on a misty hike Oregon, exploring an abandoned fort Golden, back in its wild days Ghost Ranch (enough said) Ireland and Scotland, where lore and history jaggedly intersect Given the season, where do you find yourself when you dream? Spooky sights, real or manufactured, are around us. Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos we celebrate, and here at Center Stage, the actors embody creepy characters in their stories. Autumn is also bursting with color. We’re fortunate in Colorado to be surrounded by warm tones in leaves, but also some green and even flowers. Animals peer and hunt with renewed vigor. I sought to embrace the energy of this time in many of these works. There is so much enchantment now that I’m always tingling with anticipation when I move about the world. Care to search for thrills with me?

BUCHANAN REC CENTER

Buchanan Recreation Center offers open wall space on the main level of their building, providing excellent exposure to local artists producing 2-D work.

Gretchen has found a way to turn a childhood love of coloring books into an exciting art career. After painting professionally for 18 years she feels truly blessed everyday to get to paint. Gretchen combines her love of nature and creation with texture and color to create one of a kind landscapes. Each one has a hint of modern impressionism and is spread out over large canvases. This Ohio born painter planted her roots in Colorado 37 years ago with the past 23 years spent here in Evergreen. You’ve probably seen her aspen trees at art festivals throughout Colorado. She also sells her art at: Colorado Furniture/Conifer, Zandee Gallery/Steamboat, Jewels on Main/Breckenridge, Timberline Kitchen/Silverthorne

ROCKY VILLAGE

Rocky Village offers the community gathering space of their building as a satellite gallery location, providing wall space for primarily 2-D artist work.
