Kids + grown-ups can get their hands in the clay and spend an evening creating side-by-side. Learn simple handbuilding techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab-building while making something completely your own.

Calling all mountain area writers! ✍️📚 This is your chance to share your words at Mountain Stories.

As part of the inaugural Mountain Stories Literary Festival on September 26, we’re inviting local writers to submit their work for our lunchtime Open Mic. Ten writers will be selected to read a piece of their work in front of a welcoming community of readers, writers, and fellow storytellers.

Poetry, fiction, memoir, and nonfiction are all welcome, including published pieces and works in progress.
✨ Readings must be 3 minutes or less
✨ Selected writers receive a ticket to the festival
✨ Submissions are due by September 11
✨ Selected writers will be notified by September 18

To submit, DM a short introduction, your work as a Word document, and your estimated read time to @melissapayne_writes

Halfway There ( @halfwaytheretribute ) takes the stage for our third Under Cover concert of the summer, and we’re ready for a full-on Friday night of big hair, big guitar riffs, and even bigger singalongs.

100 for $200 was SO. MUCH. FUN. 💚🎨

There’s really nothing quite like watching this night unfold.

Lists were made. Favorites were circled. And then, one by one, they were crossed off as artwork disappeared from the gallery walls. There were cheers when numbers were called, a little friendly strategy, and plenty of anticipation waiting to see which piece would go next.

And one of our favorite parts? Several of our participating artists were here to watch it happen and even got to meet the people who chose their artwork to take home. 💚

We also tried something new this year with a Blind Art Pull, adding one more element of surprise to the night!

Everyone was well fed, drinks were flowing, and our CAE staff got to spend the evening welcoming, chatting, laughing, and celebrating with selectors, guests, and artists.

Thank you to every artist who generously donated their work, everyone who purchased a ticket, and everyone who helped make this fundraiser such a special night. Your support goes right back into the work we do here at Center for the Arts Evergreen.

The walls may be a little emptier now, but there are 100 pieces of original art starting a new chapter in someone’s home.

We already can’t wait to do it all again next year. 💚

We invite you to Permanent Impressions, a pop-up exhibition featuring original paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and photography works by the artists of Black Sage Studio (@blacksagestudio ), Evergreen's only tattoo studio.

🖼 August 20 – September 5
Join us for the Opening Reception on Thursday, August 20 from 4–8 PM and meet the artists while enjoying complimentary light appetizers and drinks.

Then, mark your calendar.
On Thursday, September 3, the gallery transforms into a tattoo studio for a one-day Flash Tattoo Event, where you'll have the opportunity to get tattooed by featured Black Sage Studio artists.
