If you've always wanted to try ceramics but aren't

If you've always wanted to try ceramics but aren't quite sure what pinching, coiling, slab-building, bisque firing, or glazing actually mean, Clay 101 is designed for you.

Over four Saturdays, instructor Melanie Unruh will take you through the ceramics process from the very beginning. You'll learn your way around the studio, get comfortable with the tools, understand the different stages of clay, and create your own pieces using foundational hand-building and surface design techniques.

We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaim

We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed watercolor artist Keiko Tanabe ( @keikotanabewatercolor ) to Center for the Arts Evergreen as the 2026 juror for our 53rd Rocky Mountain National Watermedia exhibition AND as the instructor of a special two-day watercolor workshop.

In Atmospheric Landscapes in Watercolor: From Structure to Expression, Keiko will take you inside her process for creating luminous, expressive landscapes filled with light, mood, and emotion.

Through live demonstrations and a running commentary on her artistic decisions, you'll hear how she interprets a scene, simplifies complex subjects, builds a composition, chooses colors, and uses expressive brushwork to bring atmosphere and feeling to the page.

THIS is what 100 for $200 looks like. 🎨

The photos flying by? Those are from last year’s Event, and if it looks exciting, full of energy, and like everyone is having a ridiculously good time… that’s because they are.

Here’s how 100 for $200 works:

You arrive. Grab a drink. Have some dinner. Walk the gallery one more time and quietly hope no one else has their eye on your piece.

Then the numbers start getting called.

When it’s your turn, anything still hanging on the gallery walls is yours to choose.

The energy in the room is magnetic. There’s cheering. There’s strategy. And there’s definitely some edge-of-your-seat anticipation as you watch pieces leave the walls and wait for your number to be called.

And at the end of it all? You go home with an original work of art donated by one of our incredible artists. Many of the pieces in this year’s exhibition are valued well over $200.

Dinner + drinks + a seriously fun night + original art to bring home. All while supporting Center for the Arts Evergreen. 💚

Applications are now open for the 2027 Artist-in-Residence Program

Imagine spending 12 weeks creating in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with dedicated studio space, private housing, financial support, and a community that genuinely values the arts.

Our Artist-in-Residence Program welcomes emerging and established artists working across a wide range of disciplines—from painting, sculpture, and photography to writing, music, film, and interdisciplinary practices.

As a resident, you'll receive:
✨ A private artist cottage
🎨 Dedicated studio space with 24-hour access
💚 A monthly stipend
👩‍🏫 Paid teaching and workshop opportunities
🖼️ Exhibition and artwork sales opportunities
🤝 Meaningful connections with Evergreen's vibrant arts community

This is one of those posts that's a little bittersweet for us. 💚

Our incredible Event Coordinator is moving out of Colorado, and while we're so excited for this next chapter in his life, we're also going to miss him tremendously. He's helped create so many memorable experiences for our community, and the person stepping into this role will have some very big shoes to fill.

So... we're looking for someone special.

If you love bringing people together, thrive behind the scenes, and get excited about seeing an event come to life, we'd love to meet you. From Summerfest and Winterfest to concerts, exhibition receptions, and community events throughout the year, you'll play a key role in creating the experiences that make Center for the Arts Evergreen such a special place.
