If ceramics has been on your “I really want to try If ceramics has been on your “I really want to try that” list, Clay 101 with Melanie Unruh is your chance to finally get your hands in the clay. Over four Saturdays, you’ll learn how ceramics works from start to finish: forming, drying, firing, glazing + everything in between. You’ll explore foundational hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, slab-building, and surface design while getting comfortable with the tools and rhythm of the ceramics studio. Join us as we kick off one of CAE’s longest-running exhibitions with internationally acclaimed watercolor artist and this year’s juror, Keiko Tanabe.
