Today’s first big snowfall feels like the perfect

Today’s first big snowfall feels like the perfect moment to share one of our most beloved winter treasures in the CAE Gift Shop: Swittens! These handcrafted mittens made from repurposed wool sweaters by the amazing women of the Evergreen Friendship Circle.

Each pair is unique, cozy, and sewn with so much purpose. For more than 10 years, this group of women in their 60s and 70s has gathered around cutting tables and sewing machines to create Swittens, raising funds to support impoverished women in Guatemala through Friendship Bridge.

With Winterfest and so many local festivals this weekend, it’s the perfect time to grab a pair:
