Watching this group work together to create The Keeper of Evergreen was truly awesome. They showed up with ideas, learned new skills, solved problems together, and created something much bigger than any one person could have made alone.

If your teen is looking for something creative to do this summer, we've still got a few camps coming up. Better yet, have them bring a friend or two and make a week of it

One of our favorite moments from The BIG Create? W One of our favorite moments from The BIG Create? Watching little Josie make friends with not one, but TWO festival mascots 💚✨

We were lucky to have the Wild Aware elk and SCFD's bear, Penny, dancing, waving, posing for photos, and spreading smiles throughout the day.

Even more exciting, our attendees helped choose the Wild Aware elk's new name during the festival! Thank you to everyone who cast a vote and welcomed our newest mascot to the community.

And if you look closely, you'll spot another BIG Create debut in the background: The Keeper of Evergreen, the whimsical wooden creature created by our teen artists during last week's summer camp. More on that project (and the talented young makers behind it) coming later this week 🌲✨

To Penny, our newly named elk, and all the families who stopped for a photo, a high five, or a dance break along the way... thank you for making The BIG Create such a joyful day.
Well... we did it. 💚✨ Our first-ever BIG Create i Well... we did it. 💚✨

Our first-ever BIG Create is in the books, and what a day it was!

Thank you for spending your Saturday with us. Thank you for making art, supporting local artists, trying something new, and helping bring this vision to life.

If this was your first visit, we hope you'll come back. Take a class. Attend an event. Visit the gallery. Join us for Summerfest next month. There is always something creative happening here.

This event was built on the idea that art should be accessible, welcoming, and fun—and seeing our campus filled with creativity, laughter, and community all day long was something we'll never forget.

Thank you for helping make our first BIG Create such a special day. We had a great time. We hope you did too.

Until next time,
💚 The CAE Staff
