Spend this Saturday learning the art of stained glass with Andy Olson ( @octagramcraftwork )and leave with a handcrafted mirror made entirely by you.

In this one-day workshop, Andy will walk you through the stained glass process from start to finish. You'll learn how to score, cut, break, shape, and assemble glass as you design a colorful frame around a mirror.

Never worked with stained glass before? No problem. This workshop is beginner-friendly, with plenty of hands-on guidance and room to make the design your own.

Meet Kate + Reggie. 💚👹

Kate first joined us in the ceramics studio back in March for a Handbuilding class, and she’s been creating ever since. One of our very favorite characters to come out of her studio time? This wonderfully weird and completely lovable little monster, Reggie, inspired by Big Girl Co.

Kate created him using clay and commercial glazes right here in the CAE studio, then recently took our first Lusters Workshop, where she gave Reggie a little extra shine with gold luster on his horns, tooth, and feet. ✨

This is what we love about our ceramics studio. You can take a class, learn something new, come back and keep experimenting, and before you know it… you’ve made a Reggie of your very own.

The reduction kiln is firing up TOMORROW! ✨🏺

Reduction firing is ceramic magic where heat, atmosphere, and glaze come together to create colors and finishes you just can’t get in a traditional firing. Shinos, temmokus, and plenty of beautiful surprises.

Our next reduction firing starts tomorrow, Saturday 8/22 at 9:30 AM and will run throughout the day.

Have a pot ready to go? Get it onto our reduction firing shelf today and come back next week to see how the kiln transformed it!
