Created for the June cover of the American Associa Created for the June cover of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) magazine, Earth's Rainbow by Mark Kirschbaum celebrates the beauty of diversity through the lens of both art and science. 🌈

Inspired by a rainbow appearing in virga over Utah's Book Cliffs, the piece captures a fleeting moment in nature while reminding us that diversity is woven throughout our world.

As Mark writes:
"The rainbow is a symbol of diversity in all things. We celebrate our diversity in all forms, and we welcome change in all ways."

From whimsical creatures to expressive sculptural From whimsical creatures to expressive sculptural forms, Alix Messimer's work reminds us just how creative clay can be. We're lucky to have her leading this summer's Figure & Form class and sharing her process with the CAE community. 💚

This summer, Alix is leading Figure & Form: Sculptural Ceramics, a six-week class exploring figurative and abstract sculpture, creative expression, and the endless possibilities of clay.

We highly recommend taking a peek at @a.messi.sculpture Instagram for a little inspiration. Trust us, it's worth the scroll. Then head to our website to check out the full class description, including a week-by-week breakdown of what you'll be exploring throughout the session.
