Get ready for a bright, colorful night of painting inspired by Jessica Mahan’s original Dancing Poppies. These bold, cheerful flowers seem to sway and move across the canvas, making this the perfect class to loosen up, play with color, and have fun.
Working on a lightly pre-sketched canvas, you’ll be guided step-by-step as you explore expressive brushstrokes, vibrant color combinations, and techniques that bring movement and life to your painting. The focus is on letting go of perfection and enjoying the process. Sip, relax, and create in a laid-back, social atmosphere—whether you come with friends or on your own, you’ll leave with something you’re proud of.
All materials are provided, along with two beverages (wine, beer, or non-alcoholic) and light snacks. Students also receive a 10% discount in the gift shop the day of class. Wear something you don’t mind getting a little paint on—we take care of all setup and cleanup.

Jessica MahanJessica Mahan is a professional acrylic and oil painter and an art teacher with a degree in Art Education and Secondary Education. She previously taught art in the public school system for 7 years, has been a professional artist for 8 years and loves sharing her love of art with others through classes, workshops, retreats and paint at home kits. She is in awe of the natural world. Nature has the ability to wake up her mind to the present moment, sparking ideas and insight. The resulting paintings are vivid, emotional, playful and dreamlike. Her art practice helps her slow down and notice the world around her by examining shapes, colors, movement rhythms and light. She often uses symbolism and thinks of her work as visual poetry. Outside of art, she loves travel, yoga, nature, music and hanging out with her dog.
