Center for the Arts Evergreen invites artists to submit work for “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, a juried exhibition celebrating the spirit of exploration, imagination, and the landscapes—literal or fantastical—that inspire us. Loosely inspired by Dr. Seuss’s iconic book, this show asks artists to reflect on the places that call to them: locations they love, places they dream of visiting, or worlds they invent. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly. Submissions may depict real destinations with personal meaning, imagined realms born from creativity, or symbolic “places” that represent emotional or transformative journeys. All mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, digital art, fiber, and 3D works. Whether rooted in memory, aspiration, or wonder, each piece should transport viewers—inviting them to consider the many ways we move through our world and the limitless places our minds can go. Join us as we explore the landscapes of adventure, longing, and imagination.

Sculpture Evergreen became a part of Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) on January 1, 2023. Over the years, Sculpture Evergreen created a highly respected program of public art acquisition to beautify open spaces and public buildings in Evergreen, CO, in the foothills west of Denver. A critical component of Sculpture Evergreen’s mission was the annual Sculpture Walk, and CAE is proud to continue this legacy as the Sculpture Showcase.

Initiated in 1999, this is a juried exhibition of up to 16 large sculptures suitable for OUTDOOR DISPLAY. All works must be original. A stipend of $1,200 will be awarded for each accepted sculpture. In addition, there is a Juried Award of $1,000 for artistic excellence. Sculptures will be on display for 1 year until June 4, 2027.

Sculptures will be installed on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, 2026. Artists must be present for their installation. Artists must also be present for the deinstallation during the first week of June 2027. CAE shall make reasonable efforts to sell the art during the Sculpture Showcase.
