In this guided workshop, you’ll journey into the expressive world of Vincent van Gogh and recreate one of his most powerful late masterpieces — Wheat Field with Crows. Step into the vibrant fields of Arles as swirling skies, golden wheat, and bold brushstrokes come together in a scene alive with movement and emotion.
Working on a pre-sketched canvas, you’ll explore Van Gogh’s dynamic color contrasts, rhythmic mark-making. Artist and instructor Jessica Mahan will guide you through each step, from layering radiant yellows and deep blues to capturing the dramatic energy of the stormy sky and sweeping fields.
This class is perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike. It’s a relaxed, inspiring space to unwind, experiment, and connect with the emotion and energy that define Van Gogh’s timeless art.
All materials are provided — no drawing or experience necessary! Just bring your creativity, and let the colors, texture, and movement of Van Gogh’s world transport you into his luminous fields beneath the cawing crows.

Jessica MahanJessica Mahan is a professional acrylic and oil painter and an art teacher with a degree in Art Education and Secondary Education. She previously taught art in the public school system for 7 years, has been a professional artist for 8 years and loves sharing her love of art with others through classes, workshops, retreats and paint at home kits. She is in awe of the natural world. Nature has the ability to wake up her mind to the present moment, sparking ideas and insight. The resulting paintings are vivid, emotional, playful and dreamlike. Her art practice helps her slow down and notice the world around her by examining shapes, colors, movement rhythms and light. She often uses symbolism and thinks of her work as visual poetry. Outside of art, she loves travel, yoga, nature, music and hanging out with her dog.
