This workshop will focus on common legal issues that visual artists encounter as creators
and entrepreneurs. It will focus on the basics of intellectual property law such as copyright
protection, common questions regarding contracts and various business entities for
creative endeavors. This workshop is presented in partnership with Colorado Attorneys for
the Arts (CAFTA) and led by Dave Rein with Avek IP. Dave received CBCA’s Volunteer
Attorney Impact Award in 2022.
