Wheel Time: Throwing Practice and Coaching with Hannah Lim
January 6 – 22 (Tues and Thurs for 3 weeks)

Ready to spend more time at the wheel? This daytime class is designed for students who are interested in learning or expanding their skills on the wheel. Each session includes guided coaching tailored to your goals—whether that’s refining forms, exploring new techniques, or troubleshooting persistent challenges. Enjoy a relaxed, supportive environment that encourages growth through practice and play.

• Week 1 – Intro, studio tour, class demo – discussion of what pieces you wish to create, project planning – begin to make pieces
• Week 2 – Making, trimming, and prepping pieces to dry, Finish any pieces- Bisque firing
• Week 3 – Glazing all pieces – Glaze firing & pick up

Registration fee includes studio clay but you are welcome to purchase your own. Students can purchase their clay in the studio for $25 for a 25lb bag on the first day of class.

This class is for adults with some experience on the wheel. Students should bring project sketchbook/journal, aprons, and hand towels.

    Hannah Lim

    Hannah Lim is a Korean-American ceramic artist and dedicated studio manager with a passion for making the arts accessible, inclusive, and ever-evolving. With a B.A. in Ceramic Design and Art History from the University of Northern Colorado, Hannah has worked in the art world for studio potters like Liz Cohen Ceramics and institutions like the Clyfford Still Museum. In 2021, she set up her own studio, and now is expanding her skills at the CAE! Hannah is always exploring new mediums and approaches to learning and teaching, believing in the power of art to connect and inspire.
