COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT CAE

Interested in volunteering at CAE? We love our volunteers, and our volunteers love art! At Center for the Arts Evergreen, we have a wide range of volunteer opportunities for those seeking to get involved with our many activities, events, festivals, and programs. JOB DESCRIPTIONS

  • SHARE THE MOMENT DOCENT: Volunteer docents will guide visitors living with memory loss and their care partners for an art discussion of the current exhibition. Then, they will support an artist giving these visitors an art experience together. No experience necessary and training provided by the Colorado Alzheimer’s Association and CAE curatorial staff.
  • SUMMER CAMP ASSISTANT: Our summer camp assistants are matched up with summer camp instructors to help with classroom management, student supervision, cleaning, lunchtime classroom coverage, games, art project assistance.
  • FRONT DESK VOLUNTEER: Our front desk volunteers often help with gift shop inventory and arrangement, front desk management (including answering phones and taking messages), mailings, clerical projects, and classroom/supply inventory and organization. Front desk volunteers greet vistors and create a welcoming environment.
  • SUMMERFEST: July 19-20, 2025. Arts & crafts festival with live music, a children’s craft area, food trucks, and a cocktail garden round out a spectacular entertainment experience in the pristine foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
  • SCULPTURE TOUR DOCENT: Do you love people and learning about art? Volunteer docents will guide adults and/or families on a sculpture tour throughout the Evergreen Area. Some walking required. Training provided!
  • CLASSROOM ASSISTANCE: Our classroom assistance volunteers will help the instructor(s) with class preparation and studio practice in our youth and teen education classes and art camps during the school year.
  • EXHIBITIONS: As an exhibitions volunteer, duties may include art intake, hanging and installing artwork, as well as patching and painting the gallery before & after exhibits. There may also be opportunities to help with art demonstrations.
  • EVENTS: As an event volunteer, you could help with data entry, greeting patrons, bartending, setup or tear down, photography, and much more.
  • BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS: This committee is an opportunity to put your skills to great use and help out your local art center! We are always looking for volunteer support with handyman skills, indoor painting, property maintenance, gardening, and more.
