Cast in Iron: A Two-Part Iron Casting Experience with Artist-in-Residence Rian Kerrane

• Wednesday, November 19 | 6:00–8:00 PM – Watch, learn, and finish your cast piece

Join our artist-in-residence Rian Kerrane for a unique hands-on exploration of iron casting—where creativity meets molten metal.

In this two-part workshop, participants will begin by creating a positive or negative relief design using soft foam collage or sand tile carving. Your design will be transported to Kansas, where Rian will perform an iron pour on November 15, transforming your creation into solid iron.

When you return on November 19, you’ll view a video of your piece being poured, learn about patina and finishing techniques, and apply the final touches to your cast artwork.

This rare opportunity offers a window into the dramatic world of foundry art and the chance to take home your own cast iron sculpture.
