Using glass sheets, glass scraps, fused nubbins, frit and glass stringers, you will design your own plate, spoon rest, trinket dish or bowl out of glass. We will learn to use Glass cutting and grinding tools to shape your design. After the initial fusing, we will take your designs and place them on the mold of your choice to slump it into a functional form!
What’s included:
- A quick introduction to glass safety
- Overview of the artist/artistic style
- Access to an assortment of colored glass pieces including flat glass, dots, stringers, and frits
Please wear closed toe shoes. No dangling jewelry. All supplies are included. Projects will be fired after class and can be picked up 2-ish weeks after class.
