Sunday, December 14 | 11:00 AM – Bronze Pour at CU Denver Auraria Campus (approx. 1 hour) – OPTIONAL
Wednesday, December 17 | 5:30–7:30 PM – Finishing & Patina Workshop at CAE
Experience the transformation from wax to molten bronze in this immersive, three-part workshop with artist-in-residence Rian Kerrane.
The journey begins with a wax-forming session at CAE, where you’ll sculpt your design and prepare it for casting. Then, join us on Sunday, December 14 for a special field trip to the CU Denver Auraria campus, where you’ll tour the sculpture department and witness the pouring of your bronze sculpture—an unforgettable experience of fire, teamwork, and transformation.
After your piece has been cleaned and sandblasted in Rian’s studio, return to CAE for the final session, where you’ll learn about patina and finishing techniques, view a video of your work being cleaned, and apply the finishing touches to your bronze sculpture.
No experience is required—just curiosity and a love for artmaking. All materials and supplies are included.
