Mixed Palettes: CAE’s 2023 Member Show

What is an art center without its artists? The annual CAE Member Show, this year entitled Mixed Palettes, spotlights the talent of our members and challenges them to create NEW and exciting artwork. This juried exhibition celebrates the vibrant arts community of the Colorado foothills, and you’re sure to find a must-have piece for any collection, very often at an accessible (or even giftable) price point uncommon for gallery-quality art.

Join us for the free public opening reception of Mixed Palettes on Thursday, December 7 from 4 to 7 pm at Center for the Arts Evergreen (31880 Rocky Village Dr.). This year’s Best of Show and other award-winning pieces will be announced beginning at 6 pm. Enjoy our always complimentary small bites and sip on a happy hour beverage as you peruse the gallery. We’ll also be offering 20% off in our gift shop during the event to encourage guests to shop small, support local artists, and give the gift of art this holiday season. Mixed Palettes runs through January 6, 2024, and is sponsored in part by Olson Law Firm, Mountain Home, Alexa Interiors, Bob McCarroll of LIV Sotheby’s, Colorado Gives Foundation, and SCFD.

2023 Member Show Call for Entry (CLOSED)

Submission Deadline: November 12, 2023, at 11:59 pm

Important Dates:

• CFE Opens: September 13, 2023
• Submission Deadline: Sunday, November 12, 2023, 11:59 pm
• Jury Selection of artwork: Thursday, November 16
• Notification of Results: Friday, November 17, 2023
• Drop Off Artwork: November 18-December 2, 2023, 10 am-4 pm (Please note that CAE is closed to the public on Sundays and Mondays and will be closed on November 23 for Thanksgiving.)
• Exhibition Dates: December 7, 2023-January 6, 2024
• Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony: Thursday, December 7, 4-7pm
• Pick Up Unsold Artwork: January 9-12, 2024

Submission Guidelines

• All artists must be current CAE Artist Members ($75 annually). If your Artist Membership has lapsed, give us a call to renew it at 303-674-0056.
• Artist must complete the online entry form
• Entry form must be accompanied by a non-refundable $35 entry fee payable by cash, check, or credit card to Center for the Arts Evergreen for up to 3 pieces. You will be able to pay online when you submit your entry form
• Images must be JPG files only
• Images must be cropped to exclude framing and background objects (couches, tables, etc.)
• Please label JPG files as follow: Lastname_Firstname_TitleOfWork
• You must submit a 50-word (or less) statement about each piece submitted
• Artist may submit up to 3 works of art
• Submissions must be received by 11:59 pm (MT) on Sunday, November 12, 2023

Work that does not follow the guidelines will not be included in the exhibition. CAE reserves the right to decline submissions for any reason.
