About Moonlight Breakdown

Moonlight Breakdown is a jazz band that has been playing all over the front range for the last decade. Their unique instrumentation (mandolin, piano, bass, and drums ) creates innovative interpretations of classic Latin samba music, mandolin-driven jazz tunes, and gypsy swing. These genres are infused with funky overtones that breathe new life into very traditional music forms, allowing the band to transform standards into music that sounds completely original and fresh.

For the show at CAE they will be joined by two very special guests.  Alyssa Medina has become one of the most in-demand vocalists on the front range over the last couple of years.  Her powerful and soulful voice will be a breathtaking addition to some reimagined classics.  Paul Cohen (Dr. Poz) is an Evergreen Favorite. His musical knowledge and tasteful expression have been heard around Colorado for years.  He is an absolute hoss on the saxophone and will add heartfelt tones and soaring melodies to Moonlight Breakdown’s thoughtfully crafted arrangements.
