This ALL LEVELS class will introduce students to all things clay!  Our instructor, Gita Cornell, will walk students through the different clay bodies, stages of clay, and the many hand-building techniques that you can use to bring your project ideas to life!  All materials and equipment are provided. Ages 16+ and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your project ideas, aprons, and hand towels. Ceramics class takes place at The Miller House, 32003 Ellingwood Trail in Evergreen.  Next to the Buchanan Rec Center and below Resilience 1220.

Week 1 – Intro, studio tour, class demos – discussion of what pieces you wish to create, project planning – begin to make pieces
Week 2 – Making, finishing, & surface treatments
Week 3 – Making, finishing, & surface treatments and prepping pieces to dry
Week 4 – Finish any pieces- Bisque firing
Week 5 – Glazing all pieces – Glaze firing
Week 6 – Unload kiln- class discussion and critique of work- pick up work
