This class is designed for beginners and for those who want to learn basic ceramics techniques and throwing skills.  The focus of this course will be placed on centering, opening, pulling, and shaping pieces thrown on the potter’s wheel.  Students will strengthen their wheel skills with guidance from the instructor on how to throw, trim, and glaze pieces.  In this introductory class, clay will be provided.

Students should bring an apron, a towel, and a sketchbook for ideas.

Ceramics classes are held in the CAE Ceramics studio.
