This course is open to all levels. We will investigate what poetry is through reading, discussing and writing poetry. Topics covered may include: journaling, lines and stanzas, the sentence, and other topics of interest of the students. Weekly assignment and readings. This course will culminate in a class reading of poetry written for the class.
Dirk Marple is a writer and artist living in Kittredge, Colorado. He has an MFA in non-fiction creative writing from Columbia College Chicago, and has published poetry and non-fiction for a decade. His printwork has been shown as a solo exhibition at Chicago’s C33 Gallery.
