Create a beautiful water-marbled silk scarf using this traditional technique of floating color on water, creating unique patterns and designs, then transferring it to a silk scarf.  Students will practice and play with water-marbling on small scraps of fabric and paper to get comfortable with the techniques and possibilities before moving on to creating their own silk scarf.  The transformation feels like magic before your eyes, and you go home with a one-of-a-kind 22×22 marbled silk scarf, as well as your paper and cotton fabric practice pieces to use in other projects. No experience is necessary (anyone can do this!) and all supplies are provided!  Students should wear an apron or clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
