Students will create beautiful and unique Georgia O’Keeffe-inspired oil pastel drawings. After observing and discussing O’Keeffe’s work, they will learn how to use oil pastels to blend and create highlights and textures in various ways, all while learning about the values of color, dimension, and form. Join us for an evening of creativity and innovative drawings, while learning about one of the world’s foremost female artists.
Teri Hiudt has been an integral part of the Cincinnati art education scene for over 40 years. Originally from Chicago with degrees in art education from Depaul University and A Bachelor of Fine Art from the Art Institute of Chicago. She continued her graduate work at Xavier University upon arriving in Cincinnati. She has participated in the Georgia O’Keeffe leadership program in Albuquerque New Mexico, Ghost Ranch and O’Keeffe’s home and studio in Abiquiú .
