Center for the Arts Evergreen Teen Arts Council
Do you love the arts? Are you looking to gain leadership experience, to learn more about the art world, and to participating in creating and leading community-based art projects, exhibitions, and classes? The Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) Teen Arts Council aims to connect high school students from local schools to engage in artistic learning and leadership. We are looking for ambitious, hardworking teens who want to learn about the art world and make a difference in their community through art.
Students currently in grades 9th-12th (during the 2021-2022 school year) are welcome to apply. Our goal with the CAE Teen Arts Council is to have student representatives from Evergreen High School, Conifer High School, Clear Creek High School, Platte Canyon High School, and more. We currently have 10 members. Students will meet once a month from 5-7 pm. Throughout this school-year program, participants will gain insight into different aspects of the art world. Monthly meetings will have discussions with professionals in the art world, and time for input and collaboration about teen involvement at CAE and in public art in Evergreen and the surrounding communities. The CAE Teen Council will conceptualize, promote, and learn to curate the Teen Art Show scheduled for January 13-February 11, 2022.
This CAE Teen Council application is due October 15, 2021. All applicants will be reviewed and are invited to our first meeting of the year on Monday, October 18 from 6-8 pm at Center for the Arts Evergreen (31880 Rocky Village Drive, Evergreen, CO 80439)
