Join us for four sessions of traditional painting “en plein air”, which is really a fancy name for painting out of doors. If you have never tried it, this is a great chance. If you have painted Plein air but want to “brush up” on your skills, this is a good opportunity to do so. Everyone will meet up at CAE at 9:00 a.m. and return at noon, or you can meet us (locations will be sent prior to the day of painting). We will paint each day at a different, designated location in or around Evergreen. A quick artist demo will be followed by a lot of individual attention and a short class critique before heading home. We will tackle simplifying a scene, compositional challenges, how to paint luminescent skies and keep middle grounds fresh. This will be a fun opportunity to paint locally, spend some time outside and hang out with other artists. We will paint weather permitting and will only reschedule due to high winds, lightning or rain. Make up dates will be determined if needed.
